What is the Binoculars™ Site Preview feature?Binoculars Site Preview presents a "sneak preview" of a web page when you mouse over a Binoculars icon next to a search result. You can save time by quickly previewing a search result before clicking on it. How do I use Binoculars?To use Binoculars, simply move your mouse over the Binoculars Icon underneath the search result title, and the Binoculars Site Preview will appear above or below the search result. When I click on the Binoculars Icon, I don't see a Preview Image – I just navigate to the site – why?Clicking on a Binoculars Icon takes you directly to the search result web site. Simply moving your mouse over the image will cause the Preview Image to appear. Why do the Binoculars Site Preview Images appear above my result?The Binoculars Site Preview Images appear directly below or above your search result, depending on how much space is left above or below the individual result in your browser. By default, the image will appear directly above the title of the search result, but if there is not enough room it will appear directly below the Binoculars icon. Why do Binoculars not appear on every search result?The Binoculars feature will take a while to populate through our database and we are rolling out coverage for more results daily. I don't see Binoculars icons on my search results page. Why?In order to use Binoculars, you must have Javascript enabled.
The Binoculars Site Preview is different from the site when I actually visit it. Why?Binoculars Site Preview images are screen captures of the browser navigating a page, and the screen captures are taken periodically. Sites that change often may change from when we last took the screen capture for that specific site, which may temporarily cause summary text in Binoculars to differ from the body of the search result.
